Finally we aim to build endurance into our key muscles. This is achieved as you progressively challenge your stability. As you become more proficient at the exercises and your muscles begin to work the way nature intended you will find your overall stamina will improve. Functionally on a daily basis you will absolutely feel a difference. Most people can feel quite tired or maybe have an achy lower back, for instance, if they have had a day 'on their feet', mainly due to poor posture. With regular Pilates practice, your posture will improve because you are learning to use the correct muscles to support your whole skeleton; your breathing improves creating less tension in the upper body and encouraging increased energy. I know on a personal basis this is something that I noticed helped me in my daily life. I use my Pilates practice functionally on a daily basis.
